About this objectPurpose built stand-up folded portion to the card box, containing the original 6 ampules of 1ml liquid. Paper covered box in D.H.A. company trade logo pattern. The paper label details ‘Adrenaline Tartrate 1:1000 (1mg in 1ml)’ ‘DHA’ logo paper label, red ‘Poison’ , light blue and cream leather-grain patterned cardboard box, cardboard inserts to hold 6 vials of 1ml liquid, all intact.
Printed on inside box lid “After shaking contents well down, place the two thumbs as near as possible over blue line, break off top of ampoule by gentle pressure” “Manufactured in the laboratories of D.H.A. (Laboratories) Pty. Limited Sydney”.
Dr Nancarrow purchased the Alberton Medical Clinic in May 1949. The practice had started with Dr Alick Benson in 1890, followed by Dr Coverton, Dr St John-Poole, Dr Bertram Jolly in 1944. When Dr Nancarrow retired and closed the practice in 2012, the Heritage Office took the century of medical artifacts into the collection
